I have just finished reading a fascinating book called From Islam to Christ: One Woman's Path through the Riddles of God by Derya Little. It is an autobiography of a woman (now in her thirties) who grew up in a poor and dysfunctional Muslim family in Turkey. Her parents divorced when she was young and after reading about sort of person Mohammed was she abandoned Islam for atheism. She had very troubled teenage years but being very intelligent she managed to get a good education at top universities in Turkey and ending with a doctorate from Durham University in England. During that time she travelled from atheism to Evangelical Protestantism before finding her true home in the Catholic Church. It's a fascinating faith journey and well written.
